Based on the award-winning stage play, "My Left Nut" is a three-part coming of age comedy drama about friendship, family, grief and testicles. The series follows school-boy Mick and his journey after discovering a swelling on his testicle. He can't tell his dad; he died seven years ago. He can't tell his mum Patricia; she's got a million other things on her plate. He can't tell his schoolmates; there's an upside to rumours about the bulge in your trousers… And it’s not like it’s going to complicate things between Mick and his first girlfriend anyway, right?

Nan was born and raised in Tokyo but her family is from Myanmar. When Nan know that she was stateless and his father is planning to take her home with him, she is shocked but she know from her mother's diary that her father and mother had been involved in the 8888 Uprising about 30 years ago and had immigrated to Japan as a refugee. As told of Burmese-born Japanese singer Aung Kimura, she understood everything and she decided to go to Myanmar, where his relatives live.

Having moved to Sheffield from Somalia at 11, Najma feels like many migrants, who straddle two worlds yet feel disconnected from both. She discovers a short storybook in the Sheffield Library written by Halima, a Somali woman who arrived in the UK in 1956. The information she finds creates a limited and fragmented, but deeply sombre, narrative. A Story Left Behind follows Najma as she tries to fill in the gaps in Halima's story, exploring the contradictions of what Halima recorded of her life and what she omitted. Through this process, Najma embarks on a journey of self-discovery. With her film, Asma Kabadeh celebrates Sheffield's vibrant Somali community, while discussing the universal importance of archiving cultural history as an anchor for future generations.

Their father WARREN, a has-been thespian, spends the take on booze and ponies. But Samuel wants to make like his comic book hero ‘The Cardinal Comet’ and split; and a visit from a murderous loan shark gives Samuel a chance at freedom — but at a high price…
